Launch of Jetpack Ads Enhances WordAds’ Value

We are very excited that Jetpack Ads has launched in Jetpack 4.5. Jetpack is the most broadly used WordPress plugin. Now self-hosted WordPress sites with a premium plan can easily launch and manage ads.

Since the launch, thousands of great WordPress sites have launched Jetpack Ads. Jetpack Ads are a sister product to WordAds and are sold together to advertisers.

The launch is beneficial to all WordAds users as when we grow our ad inventory large ad buyers become more interested.

Jetpack Ads is instantly available to all users who have purchased the Jetpack Premium plan — no approval process required. Once you’ve purchased the plan, activate the feature in the Engagement tab within Jetpack. You’ll start seeing ads on your site right away, and can tweak ad placement settings and view your earnings on WordPress.com.

  1. Hi, thank you for the post. I’m not sure if my note is suitable here. However, i found that using WordAds on my blog caused a delay in loading pages. So, I disabled it. Of course, I still don’t have huge traffic to sacrifice the delay in loading…

    1. We’ve developed our Ads so they can load without blocking other resources from loading on your site. That means that while the ads may take a little while to load, it won’t stop your readers from viewing the rest of the content on the page while the ads are loading.

That said, when you enable Ads on your site, your readers will indeed need to load additional resources whenever they access your site. This will happen regardless of the ad platform you use. Whenever you add new elements to your site, and whether you add sharing buttons, widgets, ads, images, or more content, you’ll need to consider the impact it has on your site’s speed.

If you notice that the ads block other content from being displayed on your site, or significantly impact the time your readers need to wait before to see your site’s content, don’t hesitate to send us an email and we’ll take a look!

    1. It’s now immediate approval for premium sites, so long as they are brand safe for advertisers.

  2. We are using WordPress Multisite with one installation of Jetpack. Is there anyway to use WordAds on websites within Multisite?

      1. So…what would we need installed? Paid version of Jetpack? Another plugin? Would the individual websites be kept separate or would it put all in one WordAd acocunt? Thanks so much for your previous quick response.

  3. Since today, I noticed that in the individual posts (not in the pages) the advertisements are shifted to the left and with a blank space below. Is this a temporary bug?

  4. I joined wordads a little over a month ago. Waiting to see how my site performed. 😀
